Chick-Fil-A offering free breakfast

If you're interested in a free breakfast, remember the date Aug. 29.

Yes, that’s tomorrow!

That's important because as of then, you can log onto a Chick-Fil-A website and reserve a free entree and pick the date you want to receive it during the “Breakfast on Us” promotion that runs Sept. 9-14.
Offers and availability may vary at participating locations.

According to Chick-Fil-A, you will need to go to www.chick-fil-aforbreakfast.com to sign up. You can pick one of these breakfast entrees:   Chicken Biscuit (440 calories); Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit (450 calories); Chicken, Egg & Cheese Bagel (480 calories); Multigrain Oatmeal (290 calories); and Chick-n-Minis (280 calories).

If you don’t live in Northeast Ohio, you can log on to the site and shop around for the entrée you might want, because different stores will be offering different ones. But, around here, in the Lake/Geauga/Cuyahoga area, you'll be choosing from the five listed above.

Chick-Fil-A added breakfast in 1986 when it expanded its operations outside of mall-based stores. Mentor and Willoughby have free-standing shops.

Chick-Fil-A’s chief marketing officer said the chain hopes people will give the chain a try.
“We hope our ‘Breakfast on Us’ promotion will encourage our current customers to try something completely different and also help attract new breakfast customers for us,” said Steve Robinson of Chick-Fil-A.

I had the chance to try the Chicken Biscuit yesterday, and it was delicious. That reliable breaded chicken on a freshly baked biscuit were delightful. Some of us here added honey, as well as strawberry and grape jam. Both won rave reviews.
